COWD has upgraded its facilities to improve operational efficiency by replacing the existing split type pumps in its Booster Stations with the submersible modular type. During the first quarter, three pumps have already been replaced, two (2) in the Balulang booster station and one (1) in Bugo. The upgrading of pumps will result to shorter downtime and reduce the period of supply interruptions during repairs.
To make water accessible to the waterless areas and those experiencing low water pressure, COWD has an ongoing water project at Ayesha Subdivision in Camaman-an. This project is intended to augment and improve water supply in Camaman-an and in the neighboring areas. Another water source at the NHA-CDO Bayanihan Village located at Macapaya, Camaman-an is also being developed to address the water needs of the survivors of Typhoon Sendong who resettled in the area.
